A day of giving back to nature at Heal Somerset

It’s that time of year again when we invite you to join us in giving back to nature alongside old friends and new.

Being in relationship with nature means more than enjoying its beauty and benefits—it also means cultivating reciprocity. As nature nourishes us, we have the opportunity to give something back in return.

Twice a year we partner with Heal Somerset for a day of volunteering, nature connection practices, and sharing delicious food around the fire.

At Heal, the mission is to restore healthy, resilient ecosystems by giving nature the freedom to recover and wildlife the space to thrive. Excitingly, the resident beavers recently welcomed four kits—a wonderful sign of nature flourishing. By supporting this work, we can each play a part in nature’s restoration and recovery.

We’d love you to join us for a meaningful day of connection, contribution, and community.

🌿 The day is free to attend, and donations are warmly welcomed to support our ongoing work.

This course is about taking time in nature, experimenting with your own writing style, and seeing where your creativity takes you. With the guidance of our experienced facilitators, Derek and Sarah Niemann, you’ll be supported to grow in confidence so that writing for wellbeing can become another way of caring for yourself and deepening your connection to nature.

Derek and Sarah bring many years of experience leading writing courses and workshops. Their sessions are inclusive, welcoming, and—most importantly—good fun. To ensure a supportive and relaxed atmosphere, we are limiting the group to a maximum of ten participants.
